Refund policy

We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

To start a return, you can contact us bha.qld@gmail.com. If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Damages and issues
For brand new items please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right. 

Please note that factory second items might have damaged carton, cosmetic imperfections, refurbished or etc. Ensure that you contact store (as stated on product links) before online purchases or thoroughly inspect them at our warehouse. Factory second items will not be returned due to cosmetic defects such as dents, scratches or scuffs. 


Exchanges 

The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.


Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.

Warranty

All Brand New and Factory second items are directly shipped from their manufacturer companies such as Electrolux, Westinghouse, Fisher & Paykel, Haier, TCL, Midea, Changhong, CHiQ and etc, to us. Brisbane Home Appliances is an intermediary company that sells these items with warranty are support of their manufacturers. Brisbane Home Appliances is not responsible for any warranty issues and purchaser must directly contact the manufacturer company as stated on warranty cards. 

All second hand products have 3 months warranty. In cases were there are any faults our technicians will assess the product and either repair the item or purchaser will get a store credit for the amount they initially paid for the item itself (delivery fee will not be credited). 

Brisbane home appliances will perform the necessary home service* on the product without charge for parts and labour for Brisbane metropolitan area only (i.e 25kms radius from the store) within the warranty period. If the distance is more than the mentioned amount travel charges will be applied or customer can bring the item to our store for inspection. 

Factory seconds products comes with manufacturers warranty covers 3-12 months warranty with their manufacturers.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                      

 

Warranty Exclusions

If the product was not installed, maintained, or operated in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations for normal use and reasonable care

If the product has been used in a manner other than its intended functions

If the fault was caused, directly or indirectly, by use despite incomplete installation, incorrect operation, liquid spillage, incorrect voltage or main supply problems, misuse, abuse, neglect, use during thunderstorms, infestation by insects or vermin, fire, floods, acts of God, tampering, alteration, unauthorized repair, exposure to abnormally corrosive conditions, and insertions of a foreign object

If the product is used in a commercial environment or used other than in a normal and domestic environment

If the product is used outside Australia.

If the identification number attached to the appliance has been altered, rendered illegible or removed.

If notice of the defect has not been given to us within the applicable warranty period

If the appliance has been:

(i) subject to misuse, abuse, negligence, accident, fire or floods;

(ii) connected to improper, inadequate or faulty electricity, gas, water or drainage services or intake or exhaust ducts or flues, or operated using incorrect or contaminated fuels or lubricants;

(iii) installed, maintained or operated otherwise than a accordance with

(iv) instruction manuals including the improper use of detergents, bleaches, cleaners or other additives;

(v) damaged by foreign objects in the appliance;

(vi) serviced, repaired or altered by unauthorised electricians or repairers.

Before making a claim, comprehend first the terms and conditions of the warranty:

Check and make sure that the installation of any and all power cables of the appliance is secure and properly connected, and the power switch is turned on and functioning properly. Check if the included manufacturer instruction manual is followed for the settings of the product.

Check if the outlet that you are using for the appliance is indeed functional with a different appliance.

Note: You must keep the purchase receipt with this warranty card for the warranty to be valid.

If a claim has been made by the customer and is found to be excluded from the coverage of this warranty or if no faulty hardware components are found, you will be charged a standard service and an administration fee of $80

We are not required to provide a refund or replacement if you change your mind.

But you can choose a refund or exchange if an item has a major problem. Alternatively, you can choose to keep the item and we will compensate you for any drop in value.

If the problem is not major, we will repair the item within a reasonable time. If it is not repaired in a reasonable time you can choose a refund or replacement.
